 Duration : 9 Nights / 10 Days Destination Covered : Shimla/Kufri/Manali/Dharamshala/Dalhousie Day 01 Arrive Delhi | On To Shimla (330 Kms / approx 9 Hour Drive) Welcome to your "Scenic Himachal" tour! On arrival at the Delhi airport or Delhi railway station (on your own), you will be drive to Shimla where on arrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Day 02 In Shimla | Excursion to Kufri (20 kms) Depart for a half-day excursion to Kufri, famous for its trekking and hiking trails. Adventure seekers, especially in winters travel to Kufri to enjoy skiing and tobogganing on its snow covered slopes. Why don't you hike through the thick forest around Kufri to the Mashru Peak, the highest peak in Kufri! You can also visit Indira Tourist Park from where you get a panoramic view of the locations around. Enjoy a pony or a yak ride, (on direct payment basis) around the park. You will return to Shimla and the rest of the day is free to relax or explore the local markets as you stroll on Mall road. Day 03 On to Manali (272 Kms/ approx 7 hour drive) Today enjoy your drive past the banks of the river Beas to Manali. On arrival into Manali, check into your hotel. The evening is at leisure. Day 04 In Manali During your city tour today, visit the Hadimba Temple and the Tibetan Monastery which houses several images of Lord Buddha and Tankha paintings. The evening is free to relax or stroll and shop at the Mall road. Day 05 In Manali | Excursion to Rohatang Pass / Snow Point This morning proceed on a day excursion to the Rohatang Pass. If roads to Rohatang Pass are closed, then visit Snow Point where ponies/horses can be hired directly. Rest of the day is free to explore this picturesque town on your own. Day 06 On to Dharamshala (235 Kms/ approx. 8 hour drive) Today your picturesque journey continues to Dharamshala. It is the principal township of Kangra district which overlooks the wide spread of the plains with pine and deodar forests. On arrival check into your hotel. The evening is at leisure. Day 07 In Dharamshala Visit some of the important sights like St. Johns Church and Mcleodanj - the residence of His Holiness Dalai Lama and the Tibetian market. Day 08 On to Dalhousie (145 Kms/ approx. 4 1/2 hour drive) Today drive to Dalhousie. A little hill station that still retains its old British charm. Its marvellous forest trails overlook vistas of wooded hills, waterfalls, spring and rivulets. On arrival in Dalhousie, check into your hotel. In the afternoon visit theMartyr's memorial at Panchpulla; en route visit Satdhara, said to contain mica and medicinal properties. Day 09 In Dalhousie | Excursion to Khajjiar (23 kms / approx 1 hour drive) Drive to Khajjiar, a scenic spot set amidst a backdrop of dense pines, deodars and lush green meadow. Khajjiar is exquisitely nestled down in the foothills of the imposing Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas providing a panoramic and breathtaking view to the visitors. Day 10 On to Pathankot (80 kms / approx. 3 hour drive) OR Jammu (190 kms / approx. 5 hour drive) | Return home with happy memories Today bid farewell to your 'Scenic Himachal' tour, as you are transferred to the Jammu / Amritsar airport or to Jammu / Pathankot / Amritsar railway station for your onward journey.  |
